Geared towards an orderly and safe opening of classes on June 4, DepEd-Tarlac Province stakeholders lead by all school heads partook in the National Schools Maintenance Week. A simultaneous kick-off ceremony was held per cluster showcasing the 2017 Best School Implementers Brigada Eskwela last May 21.

This year’s theme “Pagkakaisa para sa Handa, Ligtas at Matatag na Paaralan Tungo sa Magandang Kinabukasan,” recognizes the importance of shared community responsibility on making schools conducive for learning in providing quality basic education for all Tarlaqueňos.

The week-long activity started with a caravan from their respective Municipalities to Mayantoc Central School, Mayantoc, Tarlac, Baquero Sur Elementary School, Moncada, Tarlac, Tarlac National High School, Tarlac City, and Capas West Central Elementary School, Capas, Tarlac, for Clusters I, II, III, and IV, respectively. These schools were the 2017 Brigada Eskwela Best School Implementers in the Division.

DepEd-Tarlac Province key officials and Division Brigada Eskwela Coordinator monitored the mobilization of the community and local stakeholders while the Division Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council checked the safety of all schools for the class opening.

“We had made sure all school heads took thorough planning mobilizing all their stakeholders to participate in making this six-day activity a real community effort for all our school children,” Carreon, Division Brigada Eskwela Coordinator, said in an interview.

The Division Committee on Search for Best Brigada Eskwela 2018 is chaired by Engr. Ronald V. Cadiente, OIC-SEPS-SMM&E. Submission of accomplishment reports will be until June 15, 2018.
